Marketing Strategies for Poker Regulation

By admin On March 18, 2009 Under Casino News

The fact is that as recently lobbying has turned out to be largely unsuccessful, the Pokers Player Alliance is searching for brand new methods to reach not only US politicians but the policy-makers, and the members of Congress as well. Everyone familiar with the issue knows that The Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act (UIGEA) has recently banned US banks from accepting transactions with foreign online casinos and internet poker sites. At that point the Pokers Player Alliance is full of hopes that the new, innovative advertising campaign aimed at Washington DC could give members of Congress some new, better perspectives. It is not a secret that the US online casino gambling industry is nowadays highly controversial therefore many people say it is the high time for some changes, therefore the PPA looking for some advantage to take. Without a doubt, online gambling is a central and important issue in the media nowadays. Therefore as the media are said to be one of the best marketing purposes, the new, lately planned advertisement is specially designed to catch more and more of people attention. As for the fact that the UGIEA blocks both the online casinos and the internet poker sites too.

One of the most important target that wants to be achieved by the new campaign is the awareness that more regulations are needed as a way to protect player from the online casinos and internet poker sites. Everybody would agree that simply improved licensing and regulating the online poker gambling industry could successfully deal with the problem and it would actually allow the US government to posses much bigger control over the sites accessing US gamblers. Not to mention the fact that it would allow the US government to draft regulations particularly aimed at protecting gamblers from all actions that are taking place on the online casinos and poker gambling sites.

The truth is that the case from the PPA is as well made for both compliment and counter the Washington Post article that was published lately. The Pokers Player Alliance article clearly highlights that not an outright online casino ban, but stricter laws, would be for sure much more effective in protecting the US online gamblers, who always seek to find some loopholes and ways to avoid the strict regulations concerning online gambling.
